A New Venture for Steve

Steve has been busy working on his new business venture. After a 4 year hiatus, he is re-establishing his appliance repair business. Formerly North County Appliance, the new "Grant's Repair" is up and running. Steve still has the knack to fix most anything and with everyone tightening their belts these days, people are more likely to repair their appliances than buy new ones. Among the many changes that have taken place since the" North County Appliance" days, is the wide use of the Internet. Since we frequently use Google to search for our local business needs, Steve has put together a website for the new company that would direct potential customers to us via the web. The response has been great so far and he is busy dialing in all the details. Come on over to his new website , www.grantsrepair.com and check it out.
Oh and by the way, he is still a Loan Broker and does enjoy the financial industry a great deal, so he will continue to do loans as the need arises.
Talented man, my honey.

The Incredible Shrinking Disneyland and Great Sausage

After many years, we finally made it back to Disneyland. Steve and I both immediately noticed how much smaller the park felt. The castle was not as big as I remembered and the wonder/awe in my children's eyes was not for the characters we saw but for the rides....the faster and wetter, the better. Despite this discovery, we had great fun. My favorite ride on this trip was Thunder Mountain. They made me go on Space Mountain and it is not too bad if you keep your eyes closed the whole time, grab the bars tightly and pray hard. The Pirates of the Caribbean was great as usual (I swear that guys leg is real!). We didn't make it to Small World but plan to next time. The firework show at the end was beautiful. Saturday was spent with friends, watching football, enjoying great food and fellowship. Our friend Mike makes the best homemade sausage ever.....Emily even got to help in the process. Gross to watch, yummy to eat. We look forward to Mike & Karen's yearly sausage party! School is back in full swing this week and we are preparing for a visit with Mimi (my grandma) from Texas. I am praying for good weather and cooperative children!

Happy 21st Birthday Billy!

Twenty one years ago today at 9:13 am, I was given a gift from God. My gift weighed 8 lbs 5 ounces and I instantly fell in love. My new love was a never-ending source of joy. He could run almost before he could walk and kept me very busy. Over the years, he has grown taller than I but still makes me smile and brings me great joy. I no longer have to chase him across the room but my heart couldn't love him anymore than I do today. He is kind, loving, handsome and generous. I know that God has great plans for his life. I am so proud to be his Mom. Happy Birthday Billy!

Happy New Year!

THE NORDBERG FAMILY

TOM AND STEVE

Happy New Year to all of our family and friends! We have been busy since Christmas. Lots of family time....watching movies and football, playing games and hanging out with friends. We had a wonderful visit with Steve's friend Tom, who was here from Florida. It is always a pleasure to see Tom and Randy and to spend time with the Nordbergs!

Be sure to check back on Monday morning, January 7th to see a special post for Billy's birthday!
