It's been too long...

It has been a long time since my last post. So much has changed! Emily is now 12 yrs old and will graduate from sixth grade soon. Kenny is almost 15 and discovered drama! He is good on the stage. Billy has been through a tough year but is now on cloud nine (see why in a minute) and Steve's appliance repair business is going great. I am still homeschooling and you will not believe this: I AM A GRANDMA! My sweet little Brooklyn Renee was born on May 4th, weighing 6lbs 7 oz to Billy and Sarah. She is a sweet little thing with lots of hair. I can't wait to kiss her toes and smell her sweetness! Emily and I will be making the trip to PA to visit Billy, Sarah and little Brooklyn at the end of the month. Here are just a picture of my new grandaughter, Brooklyn." ">

Emily's Garden

One of Emily's science projects this past spring was to plant a vegetable garden. She did a great job and we are now enjoying the bounty of peppers and tomatoes that are growing. Here is our before and current pictures! Have a great summer evening!

Civil Air Patrol

Kenny has joined the Civil Air Patrol! The Civil Air Patrol is the volunteer, non-profit auxiliary of the US Air Force. They train young people to be responsible citizens, aerospace leaders, and give them a taste of military life. This training includes Leadership, Aerospace Education, Physical Fitness, Character Development and community volunteer activities. Kenny would like to go to the Air Force Academy and serve as a pilot in the Air Force. We are really proud of his choices and are excited to see what lies ahead. He attended his first Basic Cadet School (BCS) this weekend. He did a great job and his flight (group) received the award for Best Flight. Here are the pictures (yes, you could have scooped me off the floor at the first site of my little boy in uniform!).

Do you think they will teach him to make his bed, fold his clothes and say Yes, Ma`am?

Random Happenings Part 2

Here are some more highlights....lots of graduations, family get togethers, saying good bye to good friends (we miss you!) and a special celebration for Grandma Richards 85th Birthday!

Random Happenings Part 1

Here are the highlights of what we have been so busy doing that we haven't had time to blog!
